Hello world. I’m Claire, a twenty-something project manager who until November 2011 was living in London with my lovely boyfriend. So far, so ordinary.

But then something extraordinary happened to me; I picked up my life and moved it 7,000 miles across the globe to Singapore!

In this blog, I want to document all my experiences of life in this new country. I’ve always loved exploring new countries and cultures, and am excited about the opportunity for more of this.I am also a massive food nerd, and love cooking, eating, and trying new dishes, so expect to see food making a regular appearance here too.

I’ve also started writing for notatourist.sg which is a great site for expats, written by expats. Please do go and have a look.

If you like my photos then you can have a look at even more over on my Flickr site.

(I am also a book lover and keep another blog reviewing books called The Great British Bookworm)

  1. Hi Claire,

I found your blog on Expat Blog where my wife and I also list our expat blog, http://theviewdownunder.blogspot.com.

About a year and a half ago we moved from New York to Sydney and had a difficult time finding a reputable international mover. Because of our experience, we started GoodMigrations (http://GoodMigrationsHelps.com) as a free resource for people to rate their international moving company so others can make informed decisions.

We’re just starting out, so I’m reaching out to fellow expats to ask them to review their moving experiences on the site. If you used a mover to get your stuff to Singapore and could take 60 seconds to rate your experience (or even mention the site on your blog to spread the word to others), I would be grateful for your help!

    Many thanks,
    Adam Vagley
